University of Applied Sciences Mainz looks back on 250 years of tradition and is located in the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg. Mainz is the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, a media city and university city, stronghold of carnival, well located in the economic and cultural center of the Rhine-Main region. Being close to Frankfurt the beautiful medivial town next to the river Rhine offers ideal conditions for an intense, inspiring and creative study and of course high potential for international exchange through its central location in Europe.
Mainz is located in the heart of Europe. Due to the position, coming from or travelling to other European cities is very easy. International train stations and the Frankfurt airport provide fast transportation opportunities.

Students benefit from the culturally and economically attractive Rhine-Main region with its international as well as cultural landscape: the ZDF headquarters (German public television channel), the Frankfurt Trade Fair, and numerous cutting-edge creative industries.

The city itself does not only have an important history and was home to famous historical figures such as Johannes Gutenberg, who invented the movable-type printing press.
