Basic requirement for a successful study is a previous education in the context of interior architecture, architecture or design. From our students we expect curiosity, dedication, initiative and enthusiasm. Our master programme is focused on comprehensive projects. Experiment and research drive innovative solutions. The design tasks are grounded on content and support both – the personality and the technical skills of students.
Students can expect a dedicated team of teachers as well as an interdisciplinary and creative working environment in a very personal and familiar atmosphere. Our graduates work in leading architecture and design studios.
To enter the Master’s programme applicants must have obtained a Bachelor’s or German diploma degree in the field of interior architecture, architecture or design (final grade at least 2.5).
Apply by registering and sending an application containing:
- a portfolio with examples of recent works (prints) including a detailed curriculum vitae. Linklist of digital projects can be attached.
- a copy of the qualifying degree
A jury will select and ask candidates for admission interviews.

Study and Family
In cooperation with the Family Service Mainz, the University of Applied Sciences offers all students creche places for children from six months up. Further information about the day care network is available from the Designee for Equality at the university. The University of Applied Sciences Mainz has been awarded the certificate of “Family friendly University”.
