Application Information

Applicants must submit a general or specialised college entrance qualification or a professional qualification and evidence of two years‘ work experience. Furthermore, candidates have to submit a portfolio and pass an aptitude test.
The application itself is based on a two-stage procedure involving portfolio and aptitude test as a first step and the online application as a second step.

Application Deadlines

Portfolio and registration for the aptitude test must be submitted by
June 1st for the winter semester
December 1st for the summer semester

If the 1st falls on a Saturday or on a Sunday please hand in portfolio and registration on the Friday before the 1st by 12 am. All documents must be sent to the attention of Studierendenbüro, Lucy-Hillebrand-Str. 2, 55128 Mainz.It is not possible to submit the portfolio directly at the faculty!

The online application must be submitted by
July 15th for the winter semester
January 15th for the summer semester

Beginning of the Course
either in the winter or summer semester

Study period
The standard period of study, including the practical semester, is seven semesters.
Additionally, there is a three-semester consecutive Master‘s degree programme that deepens the content.

Study and Family
In cooperation with the Family Service Mainz, the University of Applied Science offers all students creche places for children from six months up. Further information about the day care network is available from the Designee for Equality at the university. The FH Mainz has been awarded the certificate of “Family friendly University”.
